I was watching Arctic Monkeys playing in Coachella 2012 on YouTube so I decided to make a quick sketch of Alex Turner the main singer.
How I roll
So this is a kinda of tutorial how I do my art.
For this one I did almost the whole thing on my iPad:
- I did a sketch on 53’s paper:
- I took the sketch and did the inks in Adobe Ideas for iPad:
- Finally I took the picture and did the background color on Photoshop CS3 (PC):
So my tools of trade are:
- An iPad.
- 53’s paper app.
- Adobe ideas for iPad.
- A laptop with Photoshop CS 3.
- A Bamboo stylus for iPad.
- And a WACOM Intuos tablet.

So the new iPad is near, but I still love my laptop. BTW I have the iPad 2 D:
